Jen Colson - Mortgage Loan Adviser in Jeffersonville, IN

Jen Colson is a dedicated Mortgage Loan Originator with Smith Broady & Associates, Inc. Raised in Scottsburg, Indiana, and a resident of Sellersburg for the past 16 years, Jen brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to serving her community.

Jen earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on marketing from Indiana University Southeast in 1991. Her professional journey began in the banking industry, where she gained valuable experience while working her way through college. After a decade in banking, Jen felt a calling to serve the youth in her parish community and became a Youth Minister at Holy Family in New Albany, where she served for nearly nine years and earned her Youth Ministry Certification.

Following the birth of her last child, Jen transitioned into Human Resources, earning an HR certificate from Bellarmine University and a PHR certification through HRCI. Over the next 20 years, she gained extensive experience in all areas of HR, most recently serving as VP/Director of HR at New Hope Services, Inc.

Jen recently joined Smith Broady & Associates after earning her NMLS licensure. She is passionate about helping friends, family, and clients secure the best mortgage products to meet their needs. Jen understands that purchasing a home is a significant step, often accompanied by stress and anxiety. She is committed to addressing any concerns and ensuring her clients have a smooth, enjoyable home-buying experience.

Outside of work, Jen is a proud mother of three adult sons and is eagerly anticipating the arrival of her first grandchild. She loves traveling, hiking, attending live music events, and reading. Jen and her partner, Wade, also enjoy camping and relaxing on the beach.
